About Infrared Thermography
Infrared thermography is a technique that produces visible images from thermal patterns. Infrared thermography is our specialty. We use only high resolution infrared camera systems from Flir Systems – The world leader in infrared technology.
Performing building inspections without the use of infrared cameras is like performing it blind folded. You just cannot get an accurate picture of what is happening beneath the surface. Using our cameras, we can detect thermal differences as little as 2 degrees Fahrenheit. Radiant heat is then converted to electrical energy, which is amplified and viewed as a visible image. Infrared Thermography is a quick and cost-effective approach for assessing hidden water damage. Because the heat capacity of water-damaged material is greater than that of dry material and air, areas of high moisture content appear either warmer or colder than the surrounding infrastructure.
Infrared Thermography enables real-time, non-destructive analysis of building envelopes, roofs, and HVAC systems. Specific applications include water intrusion, commercial roofing surveys, energy surveys, and more.
Before you choose your thermographer, check their credentials. Infrared images are raw data; proper interpretation requires training and experience. High resolution camera systems can detect even the slightest anomalies. Low resolution – inexpensive cameras are not as sensitive and can easily miss defective areas.
Our high resolution FIR™ infrared cameras produce images of invisible infrared or "heat" radiation and provide precise non-contact temperature measurement capabilities. Nearly everything gets hot before it fails, making infrared cameras extremely cost-effective, valuable diagnostic tools in many diverse applications.
